Reporter 'saw Irish DJ's plane sex act'
A young reporter was witness to shock jock Neil Prendeville's sex act on an Aer Lingus flight.
Journalist Niamh Hennessy was seated next to Prendeville when he carried out the lewd act, using just an in-flight magazine to cover himself.
The other witness to the shocking incident was the general manager of one of Cork's foremost hotels.
Hotelier, Seamus Heaney of the five-star Kingsley Hotel, was seated on the other side of Prendeville on the infamous flight on October 19 last.
Gardai are hoping to interview the 96FM and City Channel TV host in the next few days as the sex act made headlines around the world.
They will also be interviewing passengers from the flight including Ms Hennessy and Mr Heaney.
Gardai have already taken witness statements from a number of Aer Lingus crew on board the flight and plan to interview passengers in the coming days
Supt Charlie Barry of Togher Garda station said a file would be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Meanwhile, publicist Max Clifford said that the controversy would be “incredibly damaging” for Mr Prendeville who has earnings of €150,000-plus a year.
Mr Prendeville has insisted he has no memory of events on the flight after consuming both alcohol and pain-killers.
