Suspect attends garda station in taxi driver assault probe

The Garda said an incident took place on Easter Sunday on the Malahide road in Donnycarney, Dublin.

A suspect has handed themselves into gardai in connection with an alleged assault on a taxi driver in Dublin.

The Garda said an incident took place at about 10pm on Easter Sunday, April 21, on the Malahide road in Donnycarney.

Gardai said the suspect arrived at a north Dublin garda station on Sunday and they are following a definite line of inquiry.

A video of the incident has been widely circulated online in recent days. The footage appears to show a taxi driver being racially and physically abused by a passenger.
