The items were recovered during an intelligence-led Garda operation.
Ammunition and a suspect device have been found in Co Galway.
An intelligence-led operation by gardai resulted in the discoveries on lands at Castledaly on Tuesday.
The Army Explosives Ordnance Disposal Unit attended and made safe the suspect device.
Two boxes of ammunition were recovered.
All items have been removed for technical examination.
