Suspect flees on bicycle after Drogheda armed robbery

Gardai said the man is believed to have a local accent.

Gardai are appealing for witnesses after an armed robbery at an arcade in Co Louth.

The incident happened at about 9.45pm on Saturday in the West Street area of Drogheda.

A man entered a premises with an imitation firearm and threatened staff. He left the scene on a bicycle with an undisclosed sum of cash.

Nobody was injured in the incident.

He is described as about five foot six inches in height and was wearing a black hoodie, black scarf that he used to cover his face, black jeans and black shoes.

Gardai said it is thought he spoke in a local accent.

A technical examination of the scene has been arranged.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact gardai in Drogheda station.
