Teenager dies after stabbing in south Dublin

A teenager has died following a stabbing incident in south Dublin.

Gardai said the youth, 19, died after suffering an apparent stab wound at Finsbury Park in Dundrum on Friday evening.

The incident happened at about 8.10pm.

The victim was treated at the scene by emergency services and taken to St James’s Hospital, but he was pronounced dead a short time later.

No arrests have been made.

The scene has been sealed off pending a forensic examination. Investigating officers have requested the assistance of the technical bureau and an incident room has been set up at Dundrum garda station.
