Three held in Limerick murder probe

A man, a woman and a teenage girl have been arrested over a murder.

The three were detained in the Mungret area of Co Limerick in connection with the knife killing of Ger McMahon last week.

The 43-year-old, from Raheen Square in Limerick city, was found on the steps of a house in Lenihan Avenue, Prospect, at about midnight last Wednesday by an ambulance crew.

Detectives at Roxboro Road Garda Station made the three arrests under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.

The man, in his 30s, the woman, in her 40s, and the girl are being held at Henry Street, Mayorstone and Roxboro Road Garda Stations.
