Three men are to appear in court in Roscommon on Thursday in connection with a spate of attacks on sex workers.

Gardai launched an investigation after a number of attacks and robberies were reported in the Dublin and Galway areas in October.

A search operation was carried out on Tuesday as part of Operation Quest, led by Garda National Protective Services Bureau (GNPSB).

Three addresses were searched under warrant in the West Dublin area.

The operation was assisted by units from Dublin Metropolitan South Central, Western and Northern divisions, and Longford/Roscommon divisions.

A fourth man was released without charge on Wednesday, gardai said.

Gardai are appealing for anyone who has any information to contact them.
