Three quizzed over Co Louth murder

Three people are being questioned over the murder of a young man on a housing estate at the weekend.

Stephen Hanaphy, 20, of Cromcastle Court, Coolock, was killed after travelling with a group of men to Ardee, Co Louth, where a break-in took place.

He suffered a single gunshot wound just above his heart after fleeing the scene.

A Garda spokesman said a man aged 30 had been arrested in Ardee on Wednesday morning.

He was being detained at Drogheda Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

A 21-year-old and a 55-year-old arrested on Monday remained in custody, while a 26-year-old man has been released.
