Two men have been arrested over the seizure of a firearm and almost 250,000 euro worth of drugs.
A double barrelled sawn off shotgun, more than 250 rounds of ammunitions, cannabis, cocaine and heroin were discovered during a series of raids.
Gardai said detectives probing the s ale and supply of controlled drugs initially targeted a premises at Ryebrook Business Park in Leixlip, Co Kildare, yesterday.
A number of follow up searches took place this morning when two kilos of cannabis herb worth 40,000 euro, four kilos of cannabis resin worth 24,000 euro, and one and a half kilos of powder believed to be cocaine, thought to be worth 105,000, were seized.
Half a kilo of heroin, worth up to 75,000 euro, and drug paraphernalia were also recovered with the gun and ammunition.
"Two males, 58 and 20 years of age, were arrested at the scene and are currently detained at Leixlip Garda Station under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1999," a Garda spokeswoman added.
