Two held over Dublin pub shooting

Two men are being questioned over the shooting of a pub manager.

The 50-year-old man was shot and injured at Paidi Og's in Mulhuddart, Dublin, late last Saturday night after staff refused to allow two men in.

The men opened fire with a suspected sawn-off shotgun after the doors were shut on them at around midnight.

The manager's injuries are not life-threatening.

A series of raids were carried out and six houses were searched in Maynooth and Blanchardstown on Tuesday. Two men were arrested.

The 19-year-old and 22-year-old have been detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act at Blanchardstown garda station.

A car which detectives believe was used in the attack was recovered on Sunday evening in the north of the city.
