Two killed in road accidents in Kerry and Tipperary
Two young men were injured in one of the collisions.
Two people have died in road accidents in counties Kerry and Tipperary.
At approximately 8am on Sunday, a man aged in his thirties was fatally injured when he was struck by a car while cycling on the Gap of Dunloe Road near Beaufort.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the car was uninjured.
Earlier, at around 5.30am, garda and members of the emergency services attended the scene of a single-vehicle collision on the Dundrum to Thurles Road in Tipperary.
The collision occurred on the R661 approximately 1km from the village of Dundrum.
One man, believed to be in his twenties, died after a 4×4 he was travelling in left the road.
Two other young men were injured and taken by ambulance to South Tipperary General Hospital. Their injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
