Two quizzed over heroin seizure

Detectives are continuing to question two suspects over the seizure of heroin with an estimated street value of 2.4 million euro.

The drugs were found when members of the Garda national drugs unit searched a number of cars in Kill, Co Kildare, on Tuesday.

The planned operation was part of ongoing inquiries into organised crime in the Dublin region.

A Garda spokesman said two men in their 20s are being questioned at Clondalkin Garda Station.

Two other men, one aged 51 and another in his 20s, have been released by investigating officers, he added.
