Two quizzed over murder of teenager

Detectives are questioning two men over the murder of teenager Daniel McAnaspie.

The 17-year-old was in the care of the Health Service Executive when he went missing last February.

His body was recovered three months later on farmland in Rathfeigh, Co Meath. A post-mortem examination revealed that he had been stabbed to death.

The two suspects, who are in their 20s, were arrested in prison and are being detained in Blanchardstown and Finglas Garda Stations under Section 4 of The Criminal Justice Act 1984.

It is understood to be the second time both men have been questioned in relation to the teenager's murder.

A garda spokesman said a total of 10 arrests have been made to date in relation to the investigation - including the two rearrests.
