Two will face trial over death of model Katy French
The trial of a man and a woman charged in connection with the death of model Katy French (right) is expected to be heard early next year. Both Kieran Ducie (41) and Ann Corcoran (30) face the same charges.
It is alleged that on a date unknown between December 1 and 2, 2007 at the Statoil Service Station, Bracetown, Clonee, Co Meath, they conspired with persons not before the court to possess cocaine for the purpose of supply to another.
It is also alleged that on the same dates and times at 10 Lambertstown Manor, Kilmessan, Co Meath, they intentionally or recklessly engaged in conduct -- the supply of cocaine to Ms French -- and failed to get medical assistance in a timely fashion, which created a substantial risk of death or serious harm to another.
Trim Circuit Court heard yesterday that the trial would be in February or March, if a judge is available.
Mr Ducie, of Lambertstown Manor, Kilmessan, and Ms Corcoran, of Tolka Road, Clonliffe Road, Dublin 3, were remanded on continuing bail.
Ms French (24) died in Our Lady's Hospital, Navan, a number of days after collapsing.
