A pod of up to nine killer whales has been filmed swimming off the coast of Donegal
The orcas were first sighted by fishermen close to Banba’s Crown on Wednesday morning, with word of the rare visitors quickly spreading the length and breadth of the Inishowen Peninsula
Speaking to Donegaldaily.com, local wildlife ranger Emmett Johnston said: "There are occasional reports of them around the coastline but never on this scale.

“We think there was up to nine of them together and that is extremely rare.
“It was just amazing to watch them. The most amazing thing was that they were so close to land,” he said.
