Woman motorist killed in crash with van

A woman has died in a crash involving a car and van in Co Meath.

The collision happened in Lobinstown, Navan, shortly after 9pm on Friday.

The woman who died was the driver of the car. She was in her 30s and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the van was unhurt.

The scene of the crash on the Slane to Drumconrath road remained closed on Saturday morning to facilitate a forensic examination.
