Woman released in kidnap inquiry

A woman quizzed over the abduction of a missing man has been released without charge.

Ciaran Noonan, 29, was bundled in to black Volkswagen Golf in the East Wall area of Dublin ten days ago.

Gardai said a woman in her early 20's who had been detained as part of the investigation has been freed.

A file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions. Mr Noonan is believed to have been kidnapped on Russell Avenue in Dublin on Thursday October 20 over a drugs debt.

A gang chased and attacked him before he bundled him into the car.

The black Volkswagen Golf was found in a car park at Killegland Apartments, Ashbourne, Co Meath, on Saturday evening.

Gardai in Store Street are appealing for information on the assault and kidnapping or anyone who may have seen the car between Thursday and Saturday to come forward.
