A 15-year-old youth accused of raping a teenage girl in Belfast has had his case put back until later this month.
The suspect, who cannot be named because of his age, was yesterday due to appear for the first time before a judge charged with two sexual offences. He is accused of rape and committing a sexual act on a girl aged between 13 and 16.
The alleged offences were carried out on dates between March and June last year.
Following a prosecution summons the accused was set to appear before Belfast Youth Court.
However, the case was adjourned to allow the defence more time to prepare.
The youth was granted continuing bail until his next scheduled appearance on January 18.
