Teletubbies may snap up Michael Jackson concert dates
Two of the Teletubbies were spotted moonwalking on the banks of the Thames today, prompting rumours the squeaky-voiced children’s favourites could fill some of the concert dates left vacant by the death of Michael Jackson.
Tinky Winky, the big purple one, and Po, the little red one, were seen cavorting within sight of the O2 arena, where Jackson was due to perform a series of 50 farewell gigs.
His death last month from a heart attack at the age of 50 has left gaps in the venue’s schedule and the Teletubbies are understood to be considering a reunion tour which could see them perform at the south London arena.
Since their 1997 launch the Teletubbies have achieved success around the world and scored a chart number one with Teletubbies Say Eh-Oh.
