Twelfth 2016 Glenarm: TUV leader Allister takes to the platform

The picturesque village of Glenarm played host to this year's Braid Twelfth, traditionally one of the smaller parades in Northern Ireland.

A total of 11 lodges - representing upwards of 400 Orangemen - were accompanied by eight bands and a number of Lambeg drums.

Host lodge Carnalbana True Blues LOL 595 had the honour of leading the procession through the coastal venue. The demonstration field certainly provided one of the best views in the province as the west coast of Scotland is visible across the North Channel from its vantage point on a clear day.

Thankfully, the rain held off for most of the day and the hundreds of people who turned out for the annual celebration were treated to a carnival atmosphere and fun day for all the family, with many smiling faces - both young and old - on show.

The guest speaker on the platform was North Antrim MLA and TUV leader Jim Allister.

The religious address was provided by Raymond Adams.

Glenarm last hosted a Twelfth parade in 2012.
