Actor Marshall on motoring charges
My Family actor and BT advert star Kris Marshall has been charged with motoring offences after failing to supply a breath test.
The 38-year-old was stopped in a Tesco car park in Wells, Somerset, early on Saturday morning.
He was charged with failing to supply a specimen of breath while being the person in charge of a motor vehicle.
He has been released on bail and is due to appear before South Somerset Magistrates on October 13, an Avon and Somerset Police spokesman said.
Marshall, who gave an address in Dulcote, Wells, is best known for playing Nick Harper in the BBC sitcom My Family.
He also starred in Richard Curtis's film Love Actually and has more recently been seen as one half of a couple in a series of BT adverts.
The actor, originally from Malmesbury, Wiltshire, studied at Wells Cathedral School and, after failing his A-levels, attended drama school.
His new film, Oka! Amerikee, the story of Louis Sarno, an American ethno-musicologist who lived among the Bayaka Pygmies in Central Africa for 25 years, is due to be released in the US on October 28.
