April's mother: Bridger should hang
The mother of murdered April Jones has said her daughter's killer should be given a death sentence.
Coral Jones, 43, said when there is such strong evidence against someone like Mark Bridger, who was last week jailed for life for murdering the five-year-old, they should be hanged.
Speaking to ITV's This Morning, Mrs Jones echoed the view of her husband Paul's stepfather Dai Jones, who this week said Bridger's life-long prison sentence was "too good".
Bridger, 47, kidnapped April before sexually abusing her, murdering her and then disposing of her body last October.
A jury at Mold Crown Court last week took four hours to find him guilty after a month-long trial.
Mrs Jones said: "I think, if you've got enough evidence, like we have, and we're sure that's him, then I agree, he should be hung. But if you haven't got a lot of evidence, then the sentence that he's got is fair enough."
However, April's father Paul, 41, was "a bit torn".
He told the television programme: "There's always a small chance, if you leave him, then he might actually own up and say what he has done, and perhaps you might get something back. But it's unlikely."
