Arrests after man shot in the leg
Police are investigating after a 20-year-old man was shot in the leg.
Armed officers were called to the scene outside the Disraeli Arms pub, in the London Road area of Wycombe Marsh, Buckinghamshire, at 6pm on Saturday.
The victim was taken to hospital with a gunshot wound to the lower leg. His condition was not said to be life-threatening.
Eight people have been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder in connection with incident.
Thames Valley Police, who were called by the South Central Ambulance Service, said it was not clear if the shooting took place outside the pub, where the man was found.
Road closures have been put in place while inquires are carried out.
Chief Inspector Colin Seaton said: "This was a very unusual and concerning incident which we are treating as a targeted attack.
"We have already made eight arrests in connection with this inquiry and I want to reassure people that we will do all we can to investigate this crime and catch those responsible.
"The victim will need to undergo surgery as a result of his injuries but his condition is not life-threatening.
"I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone who has information about who was responsible to contact us as soon as possible."
