The body of a hillwalker has been recovered in the Highlands.
A search was launched when the 56-year-old man failed to return from a walk in the Killilan area in Lochalsh.
The body, whose identity has not been released, was located on Thursday morning by a Coastguard helicopter crew.
His injuries suggest he had fallen, police said.
Sergeant Andrew Shaw said: “Our thoughts are with the man’s family and friends at this time.
“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course, as is standard practice.
“I would like to thank our partners at HM Coastguard and mountain rescue for their assistance with this operation.”
