Bookies all a-flutter over Prince Harry's 'new girl'

By Tony Jones

Rumours of Prince Harry's romance with American actress Meghan Markle have seen bookmakers tempting punters with odds on when the couple will first appear together.

Harry (32) has been an eligible bachelor since he split from long-term girlfriend Cressida Bonas more than two years ago.

And now he has been linked with Markle - a star of hit US TV show Suits - with the pair spotted wearing the same bracelet.

Paddy Power has odds of 5/2 the prince and the actress will appear together at the traditional Royal Christmas church service at Sandringham. William Hill believes seeing the two of them in church with the Queen over the festive period is a long shot at 50/1, but is offering odds of 5/1 the pair will watch international rugby at Twickenham in a royal box during a Six Nations or autumn international match.

Since Harry split from Miss Bonas in 2014 he has been linked to a number of women, including singer Ellie Goulding and Camilla Thurlow.

Paddy Power is offering odds of 6/1 for the prince and actress to get married in 2017, while William Hill is not as convinced Markle will snare Britain's most eligible bachelor, and has longer odds of 25/1 on a royal engagement.
