Boris Johnson air rage tirade man jailed for six months
An airline passenger who ignored Boris Johnson's pleas to calm down on a flight from the Far East, and headbutted a flight attendant, has been jailed for six months.
David Morris (43) was on a plane from Kuala Lumpur when he unleashed a drink-fuelled tirade against cabin crew. The Mayor of London was flying back from a high-profile trade trip to the Far East when he tried to intervene in the air rage incident.
Uxbridge Magistrates Court was told at an earlier hearing that Morris was in first class travelling to London, and had consumed a large quantity of alcohol.
Morris, of Aldershot, Hampshire, pleaded guilty at to assault by beating and being drunk on the Heathrow-bound flight on December 3.
