Boy due in court over teenager’s stabbing death

Youth charged after week-long inquiry by Northamptonshire Police.

A 16-year-old boy has been charged with the murder of a teenager who died from a stab wound.

The youth, who cannot be named because of his age, will appear at Northampton Magistrates’ Court on Friday accused of killing 17-year-old Louis-Ryan Menezes.

The victim, from Rothwell, was pronounced dead after being taken to hospital following an incident at Drayton Walk, Kingsthorpe, Northampton, last week.

Police said a 17-year-old boy arrested as part of the inquiry has been released on bail.

A 34-year-old-woman and a man aged 37, both arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, have been released under investigation.
