Brother's tribute to Bali murder victim

By Emma Sword

The brother of a British woman believed to have been murdered on the Indonesian island of Bali has paid tribute to a "courageous and passionate" teacher.

Anne-Marie Drozdz (49), originally from Hinckley, Leicestershire, was found in the villa where she was staying in Ubud on Thursday.

Gregory Drozdz said the family had been told his sister had gone back to her villa and there had been "some kind of scuffle involving a burglary".

Speaking from his home in Hinckley, the 55-year-old said his family was consumed with "overwhelming grief".

He said: "She was intelligent, free-willed and independent. She was very much a free spirit. To have that life snuffed out in a matter of moments is adding to our grief."

The Jakarta Post said a Bali man has been arrested in connection with her murder.
