The second day of the T in the Park festival will see Calvin Harris, Paolo Nutini and Pharrell Williams perform in front of thousands of music fans.

Joining them are Rudimental, James, Twin Atlantic and Katy B, with a crowd of up to 85,000 expected to party at Balado in Kinross-shire.

The Stranglers and Kiesza complete the line-up on the main stage.

Organisers have called this year's event a " huge send-off party'' as the festival prepares to move to a new home next year after 18 years at the site.

Other performers over the weekend include the headliners of T in the Park's first year at Balado - The Charlatans and Paul Weller.

Taking to the festival's other stages are Elbow, Bombay Bicycle Club, John Newman, The Human League and The 1975, among others.

Biffy Clyro brought the first day to a close last night after Ed Sheeran, Ellie Goulding, and Manic Street Preachers performed to crowds who partied in glorious sunshine.

It brought the Scottish band's total number of performances at the festival to 10 - the most out of any other acts.

Festival director Geoff Ellis said: ''We are delighted that so many of our devoted T in the Park fans have turned out in force to celebrate our last year at Balado and that they will be helping us to see it out in style.

''Friday has been a phenomenal day so far, and we are just really looking forward to what we know will be a brilliant weekend and the party to end all parties.'

More than 2,800 artists have played Balado over nearly two decades, including Foo Fighters, The Stone Roses, Rihanna, The Killers, The Who, Daft Punk, Kylie Minogue, Oasis, Beyonce and Eminem.
