CCTV released of suspected London sex attacker
Police say 13 assaults have been carried out on women aged 19 to 40 in Ladywell, Lewisham.
CCTV has been released of a suspected sex attacker after a string of assaults on women as young as 19.
A total of 13 assaults have been reported in Ladywell, Lewisham, south-east London, between December 2017 and April 2018.
The attacker approached lone women, aged from 19 to 40, and sexually touched them in the street, police said.
Scotland Yard have released footage of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incidents and have appealed to the public to help identify him.
Detective Constable Tristan Hunter said: “These incidents were very traumatic for the victims and we are appealing to the public to help us identify who this man is so that he can be apprehended as soon as possible.
“There is a possibility that these incidents are part of a linked series of attacks, as a number of victims have provided very similar descriptions of the attacker.
“While efforts to trace the person or people behind these attacks progresses, police patrols in the area have been increased and officers are working with the community to offer reassurance and to help identify the offender.”
The suspect was described as a light-skinned black man, aged between 18 and 30, of slim build, around 5ft with afro-style hair.
During a number of attacks he wore a dark jacket with a hood, dark trousers or jeans, trainers and sometimes gloves.
