Celtic star faces child car charge
A Celtic footballer and his wife have been charged following reports a child was left in a vehicle in a car park last month.
Charlie Mulgrew, 24, and his wife Alana, 22, face charges under section 12 of the Children and Young Persons Act over the incident in a Costco car park in Glasgow on December 22.
A Strathclyde Police spokesman said officers had been called to the car park on December 22 during the extreme cold weather snap.
It is understood police were contacted by Ultimo lingerie tycoon Michelle Mone.
The police spokesman confirmed that a 24-year-old man and 22-year-old woman were the subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal.
A Crown Office spokesman confirmed the Procurator Fiscal in Glasgow had received a report in connection with an alleged incident on December 22 and the report was under consideration.
