Clegg prepared for public grilling

Nick Clegg was set to brave another grilling by the public as his stint standing in for David Cameron continues.

The Deputy Prime Minister will stage a question and answer session during a visit to Bristol.

Mr Clegg has had a busy week since taking the reins at Downing Street, touring the country and giving numerous interviews.

He angered some Liberal Democrat activists by playing down the importance of achieving their long-standing goal of electoral reform and bluntly stated that the public would be ignoring the party entirely if it were not in coalition.

The DPM was also accused of "ranting" at a Lib Dem voter who accused him of embarking on an "ideological crusade" with the Tories during a Q&A session in the North East.
