Drone footage shows millions of Christmas trees at UK’s biggest farm
The forest near Inverness covers more than 2,500 acres holding over 6.5 million trees.
Incredible drone footage shows the 6.5 million Christmas trees growing at the UK’s biggest tree farm, ready to help Britons celebrate the holiday season in style.
The trees cover more than 2,500 acres of forest just north of Inverness in Scotland, an area almost as big as Chichester in West Sussex.
It can take 12 years for the trees to grow the full six feet in height and the Drynie Woodlands farm will need 140 people to help harvest the trees in peak season, according to a spokesman.
Good weather and lots of rain help give the Christmas trees their distinctive festive shape and a lot of pruning and attention from staff keeps the branches bushy.
