The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrive at Crathie Kirk in Scotland

The Duchess of Cambridge used her first public appearance in almost two months to show off her new fringe.

Kate and husband Prince William arrived at Crathie Kirk from Balmoral for prayers yesterday morning with the Duke behind the wheel of a luxury Range Rover.

The couple have been enjoying a Scottish break with two-year-old Prince George and four-month-old Princess Charlotte as Kate prepares to return from maternity leave.

It's believed Kate will attend several matches during the six-week Rugby World Cup which kicks off in 10 days.

Fashion fans were quick to praise Kate's chic new hairstyle.

"We haven't seen Kate rock bangs in a long time. We love this bang-tastic look!" raved the Hollywood Reporter.

With the mornings now a little chillier, the Duchess was also wearing a black turtleneck. Her brown Hobbs coat was last seen on Valentine's Day in 2012, and she complemented her new bangs with little gold earrings.
