The Archbishop of York has revealed that the Duke of Edinburgh suggested to him that the miracle of Jesus turning water into wine was possibly a trick.

In the House of Lords, Dr John Sentamu said while preaching at Sandringham, the Duke suggested other methods "including a Uri Geller-type explanation".

He said the Queen came to his rescue, saying: "Philip and his theories."
