Duke pays a visit to UK troops
The Duke of York has praised the medical care wounded troops have received, during a surprise visit to UK forces serving in Afghanistan.
Andrew's unannounced two-day trip to Camp Bastion began late on Monday night when he met military personnel from all three services, and their civilian support, to learn about their roles.
The Duke last toured the military base in November and yesterday he met senior commanders who updated him on progress since his last visit.
Afghan forces already take the lead in offensive operations on the ground and all British combat troops are due to be withdrawn from the country by the end of the year.
