Fears for missing young sisters

Scotland Yard has said it is "very concerned" for the safety of three young sisters who went missing from a day centre in London.

Shaventelle Downer, five, and identical twins Shania and Shamina Rose, 12, disappeared from the centre in St Georges Road, Elephant and Castle, just after 2pm on Tuesday.

The children, from the Camberwell area, were seen running out of the centre and down St Georges Road towards the Elephant and Castle.

The girls, who have also recently been living in Croydon, were alone when they ran off and police and their family was very concerned for their safety, Scotland Yard said.

The twins are black and slim, with one wearing her hair in a bun and the other with her hair long. They were last seen wearing grey leopard skin-patterned leggings, yellow tops and black jackets.

Their younger sister, Shaventelle, was last seen wearing a top with dark and light orange horizontal stripes, blue jeans and black boots. Her hair is in cane rows with bobbles at the back.

Detectives from Southwark are appealing for anyone with information to contact them on 07747 765 719.
