Four boys held in murder inquiry
Another four boys have been arrested after the death of a man who was airlifted to hospital with a serious head injury.
Warren Free, 42, died yesterday at Nottingham's Queen's Medical Centre and police are treating his death as murder.
The victim, from Coronation Close, Spalding, Lincolnshire had been found injured at an address in Spalding on Thursday.
Two girls and a boy were arrested yesterday in connection with Mr Free's death. O ne girl has been released on bail, while the other boy and girl remain in custody, Lincolnshire Police said.
Another four boys have been arrested today in connection with the police investigation, the force added.
None of the children's ages have been released by police.
Following Mr Free's death, Community Inspector Jim Tyner said: "Coronation Close is a close-knit community and I know many will be affected by what has happened.
"My officers will be carrying out extra patrols in the area and I would urge residents to approach them with any concerns."
Detective Chief Inspector Martin Holvey said: "We are continuing to investigate the circumstances in which Mr Free sustained the injuries that led to his subsequent death and I am appealing to anyone with information that may assist the enquiry to contact the major incident room by calling 101 and quoting incident 161 of August 28."
