Four charged after murder bid in Highland village

A man and a woman were injured at a property in Beauly on Sunday.

Four men have been charged after a pair were seriously injured at a house in the Highlands.

Police are treating the incident in Beauly in the early hours of Sunday as attempted murder.

A woman and man were hurt, with the man’s injuries described as life-threatening.

Police said four men aged 50, 48, 24 and 18 have been charged in connection with the “contained” incident at Orchard Park at around 5.20am.

They are expected to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court later on Tuesday.

Detective Inspector Eddie Ross said: “This was a contained incident and our enquiries continue.

“I would like to thank members of the local community for their continued assistance with our enquiries.”
