Girl (13) found safe after week-long hunt

There was relief for the family of Erika Kacicova last night after the missing 13-year-old was found "safe and well" in Bradford city centre.

The teenager was found in Centenary Square at around 6.40pm, South Yorkshire Police said.

A 41-year-old man from Bradford was arrested on suspicion of child abduction. A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "Erika was found, safe and well, on her own in Bradford city centre at around 6.40pm."

Erika, who went missing last Monday, is being cared for by police in Bradford and her family have been informed.

The police officer in charge of the hunt, Detective Inspector Helen Tate, said: "It's fantastic news."

The 41-year-old was the third man arrested in the probe. Another man, aged 37, remained in police custody in Sheffield after he was held earlier yesterday in Bradford, and a 22-year-old man from Bradford has been bailed.
