Girl held over drugs in pillow case
A 15-year-old girl was arrested after officers found tens of thousands of pounds worth of heroin in a pillow case, police have said.
The 1.8-kilo stash, sent from Pakistan, was intercepted by UK Border Agency officers at a parcel distribution depot near Coventry Airport.
The schoolgirl was among four people arrested in connection with the haul.
The pillow case, which had been used instead of an envelope, also contained items of clothing, the Metropolitan Police said.
It was intercepted at Coventry International Hub and was addressed to a residential property in the Croydon area.
Officers from the Metropolitan Police Service's Middle Market Drugs Partnership arrested the teenager and a 53-year-old woman last Thursday.
Two men, aged 34 and 42, were arrested on Friday, a Met spokesman said.
They were taken to a south London police station where they were questioned.
The girl, woman and 42-year-old man were released on bail to return on a date in June, while the 34-year-old man was released with no further action to be taken against him.
