GP unveils contraceptive pill courier service
An online GP practice in London is introduced a ‘Shtl service’ for women in need of the emergency contraception pill who want to avoid the fuss and embarrassment of facing a medical professional.
DrEd.com will kick start its two-hour courier service next Monday at a price of £20, £5 less than it costs to purchase a contraceptive pill at a pharmacy.
Its pill bikers from Shtl – the same courier service used by Argos and Oasis - will endeavour to get the emergency prescriptions to its recipients (who must be over 18) within two hours.
A purchase can be made quickly online after answering a medical questions and entering credit card details.
DrEd.com says, if successful, it may roll out the service to other cities in the UK.
