Hundreds of pigs die in farm blaze
Hundreds of piglets and sows have died in a blaze at a farm, a fire service said.
Crews from Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue were called to North Moor Farm in Caistor Road, Market Rasen, Lincolnshire, at around 10pm on Friday.
A spokeswoman said the fire caused "100% severe damage" to a piggery, killing 168 sows and between 500 and 600 piglets.
Firefighters battled to extinguish the fire, which was caused by an electrical fault, until 4am on Saturday.
