Ill tourists to sue Butlins over virus

Holidaymakers struck down by a highly contagious stomach bug at a Butlins holiday camp in England are beginning legal action to gain compensation.

Up to 200 visitors and employees fell ill with the suspected norovirus at Butlins’ Bognor Regis camp in West Sussex last week as it was packed with 5,000 people. Holidaymakers complained of symptoms including vomiting, diarrhoea, stomach cramps and high temperatures, prompting Butlins to offer refunds.
