Impatient Charlotte crawls up plane steps as William and Kate leave Poland
Kate watched carefully as her daughter made her way into the cabin of the jet.
Princess Charlotte found a novel way of climbing up a flight of aircraft steps during a royal tour – scampering up on her hands and feet.
The two-year-old found the steep steps of the chartered plane taking the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to the next leg of their European tour a little difficult, but still made it to the top.
Kate watched carefully as her daughter made her way into the cabin of the Embraer Legacy 600 jet, following her brother, Prince George, who had been eager to board the flight to Berlin.
The Duke and Duchess were leaving Poland after a two-day visit that saw them celebrate the nation’s history, culture and ties with the UK.
When the family arrived in the Polish capital, Warsaw, on Monday, George, who will turn four on Saturday, looked shy and reluctant to take part in the official welcome staged by the European nation.
However for the official departure he strode confidently across the airport runway, holding hands with his mother and father.
He even tugged at William’s hand as he was saying goodbye to waiting dignitaries, appearing eager to board the plane. He then went ahead of his father and carefully climbed the steps of the jet, which seats 13 people.
Charlotte also seemed impatient, and pulled at Kate’s hand in an attempt to join her brother as he made his way up to the cabin.
The Cambridges were flying to Germany for the second and final leg of their five-day European trip.
