In Pictures: Hot air balloons light up for Fiesta

The Bristol International Balloon Festival is marking its 40th anniversary.

Dozens of hot air balloons were lit up to mark the opening day of the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta.

More than 130 balloons from across the globe have gathered at the Ashton Court Estate for the four-day annual event, which is celebrating its 40th year.

On Thursday night around 25 were lit up for the Night Glow display, which gave spectators the chance to see the various shaped balloons shine against the darkening sky.
