Jo Malone and Still Game star among honorary graduates
The ‘scent maverick’ and Gavin Mitchell will be recognised by Glasgow Caledonian University.
An entrepreneur dubbed a “scent maverick” and a Still Game star are among those to be honoured by a university.
Jo Malone – who launched Jo Malone London in 1994 – will receive a Doctor of Science from Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU) during its summer graduation ceremonies.
It comes in recognition of her “outstanding contribution” to business creation in the UK and for her commitment to education.
Actor Gavin Mitchell, best known for his role as Boaby the barman in the TV show, will receive a Doctor of Letters in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the television and media industry.
GCU is awarding seven honorary degrees between July 2 and 4 in recognition of achievements and contributions across a range of backgrounds.
Entrepreneur and philanthropist Sir Tom Hunter and BBC Scotland director Donalda MacKinnon will be among the other recipients.
