Lawyer who spat at flight attendant found dead at Beachy Head
Simone Burns had been jailed for six months for a racist foul-mouthed tirade.
A lawyer who was jailed for spitting at a flight attendant during a racist foul-mouthed tirade has been found dead at Beachy Head.
Simone Burns, from Hove, East Sussex, was sentenced at Isleworth Crown Court in April for being drunk on an aircraft and for assault.
The 50-year-old, who was originally from Northern Ireland, became abusive when she was denied more alcohol on an Air India flight from Mumbai to London on November 11 2018.
A Sussex Police spokesman confirmed that her body was found at Beachy Head last month.
He said: “The body of a woman found at Beachy Head on June 1 has been identified as 50-year-old Simone Burns from Hove.
“The death is not being treated as suspicious and next of kin have been informed.
“The matter has been passed to the coroner’s officer.”
