Life for lover of murdered sugar daddy
A woman who murdered her "sugar daddy" with the help of another lover and then hid the mutilated body in a freezer was jailed for life with a minimum term of 25 years yesterday.
Sharon Swinhoe (44) plundered the bank account of retired civil servant Peter McMahon (68) after he was battered to death.
With the help of her some-time lover Joseph Collins (54), Mr McMahon's battered body was wheeled in a suitcase last November to flats where Collins lived in Elswick, Newcastle.
Both were convicted of murder at Newcastle Crown Court.
Collins was jailed for life with a minimum term of 20 years.
Ronald Douglas (77), from Gateshead, admitted conspiracy to pervert justice by concealing a body. He was jailed for four years.
