Man charged over slavery and fraud
A 44-year-old man has been charged in connection with slavery and fraud offences against 10 alleged victims.
Timothy Joyce faces a total of 19 charges including harassment, blackmail, assault, and various servitude and forced labour offences.
He is alleged to have committed them between April 2010 and March this year, and was arrested by Thames Valley Police after warrants were executed in raids across various addresses in Oxford as part of Operation Rague.
Joyce, from Redbridge Hollow in Oxford, was due to appear at Oxford Magistrates' Court today.
The investigation relates to suspected human exploitation, slavery and fraud offences.
